Cube Theory

What does it mean?

The Blue Group reconvened to discuss what it meant to be associated with a cube and it's shadow of a square.

The discussion started with a listing of the physical attributes of a square and a cube. It went something like this:

The general discussion followed much of the agenda The Blue Group had established over the course of the last few election cycles. The cube denoted a simple, basic shape suggesting the need for a streamlined, simplified government. There was even discussion equating the need to literally keep the thought process "inside the box" not get distracted by demands to think beyong the edges of the box. The edges of both the square shadow and the cube suggested the eed for strong and secure borders.

Someone spoke up and noted how the shape of the box is so easily subdivided. Both the square and the cube could easily be divided into smaller rectilinear sections. Someone else equated that ability as a sign of efficiency, that there should be a focus of increasing the efficiency of the government to assure its health and lasting future.

As is the case with most groups, no matter the size or the focus of that group, there will always be a small number of members 'on the fringe' and The Blue Group was no exception. One of these fringe members addressed the group and remided them of one of the characteristics that was noted early on: that all sides were equal. It was insisted that the group consider what was in the existing, original document, specificaaly the phrase ""We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."" Surely, including some similar wording would be attractive to The Red Group and help assure full agreement of both sides of the government.

After much discussion over several days, The Blue Group came to a general consensus of the meaning of the object that generated the shadow, The Cube. These ideas would be presented to The Red Group so that everyone could agree that these were the cornerstones of the government moving forward:

  1. All men are created equal.
  2. The strength of the country is derived from the strength of its borders.
  3. Government must be simplified and made more efficient.
  4. We must first take care of ourselves before we invest in the conflicts of other countries.
