This is the only ukulele in my collection that I purchased new. I got this from Sam Ash Music in Atlanta in 2008 a week or so after Jason Castro used one to play "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" on American Idol. I figured if it was good enough for him, it was good enough for me. Yes, I enjoy playing it, I'm just too worried about banging it up. Someone would probably be better off with it that would enjoy it and not have to worry about banging it up for the price I'm asking!
This body of this uke is made from select Hawaiian Koa with a nyatoh neck. The neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard and the bridge is also rosewood. It features abalone bindings and trim around the soundhole. The geared tuners are enclosed chrome Grovers. Of course, I'm also throwingin the soft gig bag that came with it. You can still buy these today new for $149 - $179. I believe I paid $119 for this one on sale in 2008.
