The label on this is exactly the same as on the Standard Approved Ukulele I am also selling. From www.ukulele.org: The "Standard Approved" designation shows up on many Harmony-made ukuleles. This standard was created in 1927, and many Harmony ukuleles made for the next ten or so years had a special "Standard Approved" label inside the body." There's no reason to believe this is any different. I have seen some sites saying this is made by Harmony, others say the manufacturer is unknown. The construction details and the shape of the head stock and tuner pegs is identical to the soprano ukulele so I believe this to be made by Harmony.
The body ring is a beautiful solid curly maple while the neck is solid maple This was obviously built to last.
Condition: This is a project piece but easily done according to my local banjo repairman. A couple of the head brackets are missing as well as the retaing bracket inside. Yes, I accidently broke off one of the tuner pegs and have lost it. Again, another simple repair by a good shop. You'll also need a new bridge when you add your new strings. My price is reflective of these issues.
